Note: practically all the developments by RELEX Group are protected by NDAs, therefore most descriptions contain only the most general information about the projects.

DBMS Linter in Air Traffic Management Systems

DBMS Linter is utilized in industrial air traffic management systems. All the systems are used in the 365/24/7 mode. DBMS Linter for OS 9000 and Sun Solaris SPARC is used to provide uninterrupted work of air traffic controllers. At present, the system operates in Khabarovsk International Airport, in Saint-Petersburg (Pulkovo Airport), and in Minsk International Airport.

DBMS Linter in Nuclear Reactor Control Systems

The researchers of the Kurchatov Institute have developed nuclear power station control, management, diagnostics and security systems based on DBMS Linter for Sun Solaris SPARC. High performance and exceptional fault-tolerance became the main criteria for the choice of the DBMS.

DBMS Linter in Technological Process Management Systems

DBMS Linter is used as database server for the automated control and technological process management system in Surgutneftegaz since 2004. When selecting the DBMS, the main criteria were fixed reaction time in emergency, high performance and fault-tolerance.

DBMS Linter is used as a warehouse of names and service information on musical fragments in home theaters produced by one of the leading Japanese household appliance vendors. Billing system for serving clients of an Internet and VoIP provider integrated with the customer's telematic equipment via statistics files and command management queue for devices.

Software Product for Data Transfer in TETRA Trunking Radio Communication Developed Using COM/DCOM, COM+, MFC, WIN32 API, C++

The software product for PC provides data exchange with a TETRA radio station via an RS232 port.

Additional Tools for Protecting Information from Unauthorized Access Developed Using OS RV Baget, TCP/IP, GTK+

A series of superstructures for OS RV Baget (VxWorks prototype) replacing the standard non-secure system calls with similar secure ones.

Database and Application Migration Using Oracle, DB2, UNIX, WIN

A series of projects for migration of customers' applications and databases from Oracle to DB2 making it possible to minimize the expenses and increase performance. Migration contents: migrating the database structure, triggers and stored procedures, as well as test applications and scripts. The MTK package from IBM was used as a migration tool.

Software testing using the following tests: ado, api, intlib, linapi, odbc, pci, java, perl, php, tcl, kernel, alter, arid, book, cache, cascade, channels, check, crash, create, csidx, ddtsp, event, expand, fstst_int, idxcs, joins_new, journal, killer, main, main_new, mbcs, mci, mci_plus, middle, mvers, phrase, phrase_real, press, repl, table, savepoint, secur_dml, sequence, sortall, sorts, sqgen, sqlchk, sqlf, stepidx, testdb, testsp, transact, tref, truncate, zommint. The following example describes the killer test.

Regression testing subsystem for checking the database integrity recovery after a kernel failure. The testing includes cyclic repetition of the following actions: 1. Test database archiving; 2. Kernel start; 3. Kernel stop; 4. Checking the test database integrity; 5. Kernel start; 6. Test subsystems start; 7. Waiting; 8. Kernel and test subsystems stop. The procedure lasts for 24 hours. In case of failure, the deficient database is submitted to the engineering department for analysis and finding out the cause for the failure of the DBMS kernel recovery functionality.
